"As a test, you mean?" He asks, although really it's a rhetorical question. Of course it's a test, although he can't decide if it's one which has set right or wrong answers, or if it's one of those where you'll be judged on the quality of the answer, whether you say certain phrases and the like.
He supposes he'll find out.
